SAU Tech is set to start the 2019-2020 NJCAA Basketball Season as the Rockets take on the Coahoma Tigers on Friday night. The Rocket team did exceptionally well in their inaugural season last year, and they are expected to continue that tradition this year. Today’s Power Tip-Off Classic is on Friday and Saturday on SAU Tech’s campus. Today’s Power is a solar energy company owned by the Arkansas electrical cooperatives. This is their second year to sponsor the Classic.
The Rockets take the court at 6:00 pm on Friday and 5:00 pm on Saturday. The two days will include teams from Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas, all ready to show their skills in this new season. Admission is $5 for adults and children 12 and under get in for $3. Concessions are available.
